A Boy, A Tragedy, A New Mother Chapter 13                 Bryan slept within the blanket he was wrapped in with Romana sleeping at his side with her tail making a barrier around them. Bryan had a smile on his while he slept for he felt so warm and safe within the burrowed home of the Naga. Slowly Romana started to awaken. Her eyes slowly opened eyeing Bryan while she began to raise her human half to stretch while keeping her coils around her and Bryan. She yawn ed loudly but not loud enough to interrupt Bryan. She looked down on Bryan with a warm smile. Request by Crimson-FlazeyFlaze look at Dragonfire in amazement as he handed them tickets for the Spa Hotel. "Here, you two,  makes you a nice day. I'll see you tonight, "said Dragonfire with a smile. He had bought Flaze and Luna tickets for a spa hotel, because he was proud of them because they train so hard. Flaze looked at him and took the cards. "Thank you, Dragonfire. We'll see you tonight! "Even Luna smiled at Dragonfire, nodded to him, and then the two disappeared out the door of Dragonfires house. The two spread their wings and took off. With silent wings: PrologueThe system was empty and it's planets followed their usual tracks, orbiting the red fiery sun or the green gas giant as they had over the last billion years. Peaceful and quiet as it should be until in some distant a light emerged. First weak and slow, then changing in intensity and rhythm and then ended in a staccato of lightning. Revealing a long sleek star ship shortly before the light stopped. The ship itself drifted along it's flightpath for a few more moments, before the three Sonus Mk. 2 Fusion engines came back to life and recovered the ship from the aimless drift with the help of some maneuver thrusters.

With silent wings: HistoryIt started back in the year 2022. The second cold war, though four factions were involved this time and not two back in the first one. America, Australia, China and Russia. All of those were treating each other with open war if someone would dare to enter the Pacific ocean with anything bigger than a small rowing boat. And all this was started with the discovery of the last big oil reserve in the middle of the ocean.

The Mouse and the Snake
The sun was setting over the meadow, and the sky was basked in reds and oranges. The shadows of the tall trees were stretching out and covering the ground. Soon, the night would grip the meadow and all the animals within it would have to hide. The little mouse knew this fact all too well, as it had been the owls cold claws that had taken her own mother. She poked her head out of her home and looked around. She was scared...terrified that within moments, she would hear the silent wings of death as the sharp talons of the owl caught her and carried her away. All other animals had all run for shelter...but she couldn't.

I ran to first period to see Nera talking to another girl, I felt relief and walked calmly towards her.
"Hey Nera."  She turned around to face me and gave me a smile.
"Hey you."  She looks like a goddess, she is wearing a light blue dress shirt with ruffles at the collar, pale blue jeans with holes in them, and light purple high heels.  
"You look beautiful today," I said with a hint of compassion in my voice.  She smiled and gave me a peck on the cheek.

The two forty minute bell rang which meant time for us to go home.  Nera was at my locker, the sun lighting half of her face, and the light made her violet eyes even more beautiful.
"So, um Emily, I have a question."  
"What is it?"  I asked, she began to blush a strawberry red.  
"Would you like to come over my house this weekend?"  Now it's my turn to blush.
"I'll have to ask my sister."  I grabbed the rest of my things and closed my locker.  I looked back at Nera who is still standing next to my locker.

I awoke early this morning realizing it was time for me to get up and go to school.  I pulled the covers off of me and turned the lights on, which hurt my eyes for a couple of minutes.  I started to undress out of my comfort clothes and put on a pair of blue jeans, a purple dragon shirt, and my dragon necklace.  As you can see I love dragons and any other reptiles especially snakes, but I've always wondered what it would be like to date a naga.  Of course my sister wouldn't really approve of me dating a naga, since we've been at war with them for the longest time.

Paid Vacation off, huh? Laurane hated train rides because they had almost no room for her books. She was obsessive over myths, especially Mayan, Incan and Aztec ones. Lucky for her, the train ride was short, and she and her boyfriend, Chase, were dropped off atop a mountain.
"So Laurane?" Chase said, "All that work was worth it, wasn't it? You finally managed to save up for this trip. With my help, of course."

I was sleeping. And it was dark. I felt a deep cool air down my neck, it was cold and also...comforting. I lived on a mountain and it was cold during the night, especially during the winter. I opened my eyes I looked out the window sitting on my bed. I pushed my hair away from my face and walked towards the window slowly. I thought I saw something move but I still kept walking towards the window. I opened the window slowly then, I poked my head out and looked around...nothing I sighed. The Queen...   Have you ever had one of those days where everything didn't go the way you had intended? Yeah well that's what happened to me. My name is Alex. Alex Jackson. I was a normal 18 year old kid. I was 5' 5" yeah I know short for an 18 year old. I had short red hair since I had to keep it cut due to Marine Corps regulations.  I was a veteran in Iraq as well as an archeologist and musician. I was climbing in my home town of Mountain Valley. Yeah lame name I know. But it was named after being founded in the middle of a mountain valley. I was on a trip up one of the mountains. Nathan was out front of his house. He was a shorter blond kid. He had some friends, as was to be expected from a twelve year old who always stayed at the same school. But he never did much with them, however today was different. He was waiting for a friend to come pick him up.

A few minutes later, his friend's mom pulled up in their car. Nathan opened the door to the house and yelled. "Mom! They're here, I'm going now!" He closed the door and ran off the porch, excided to go to his friend's. He walked to his friend's car, he got in and buckled up as the car drove away.
